What do I need to use Neuhaus Academy?

  • An internet-capable device
  • An up-to-date browser—we recommend Firefox or Chrome
  • Speakers or headphones

How do I change my password?

  1. Click "My Profile" at the top of any page.
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Fill in your new password twice.
  4. Click "Update"

I forgot my password.  Now what?

You can have a link sent to your email to reset your password.

If you used a join code to sign up and didn't supply your email address, your Instructor will need to reset your password for you.

I signed up, but I still don't have the activation email.

If the activation email is not in your junk/spam folder, try to log in with the login information you provided. A link to resend the activation email will be offered.

If the email has still not arrived, contact Support and request that your account be manually activated. Be sure to include your name and the email address you used to sign up.

What's the difference between Learner / Instructor / Organization Administrator / Deputy Organization Administrator accounts?

Why might I/my student choose just the Pronunciation Lesson or just the Meaning Lesson?

By default, a Learner's profile is set to access both the Pronunciation Lesson and the Meaning Lesson.  If a Learner is unsure of how to pronounce long and unfamiliar words, yet knows the meaning of words once they are decoded, then the option of completing just the Pronunciation Lesson is appropriate.  If a Learner is unsure about the meanings of words even though the learner can easily read the words, then option of completing just the Meaning Lesson is appropriate.

The QR codes in the Companion Readers don't work.

Unfortunately, the new Neuhaus Academy broke those codes. Below are new codes in printer-friendly PDFs that can be folded in half and tucked into your Companion Reader.


I already have an account.  How do I use a join code from my Instructor?

  1. Click "My Profile" at the top of any page.
  2. Type your code in "Access Code".  It is case sensitive.
  3. Click "Join"
  4. The group name will appear below the Access Code field.
  5. Click "update" to save your changes.


Getting Started - Instructor video

I signed up as a Learner to get to know Neuhaus Academy. Now I want to use that email address to sign up as an Instructor. What should I do?

You have two options.

    1. Change your Learner account's email address, freeing it up for your Instructor account. This can be permanent or temporary. If you want it to be temporary, then you can join your Learner account to one of your Instructor account's groups when you have created them and delete the email address from your Learner profile. This option has the advantage of keeping any progress you made through the Words.
    2. Contact Support to delete your Learner account.

I have my students in Groups, but still can't see their progress. What now?

You probably need to add courses to your Groups. Without a course assigned, the platform doesn’t know what of your students’ work to display.

  1. Go to Groups.
  2. Click on the Group name.
  3. Scroll down and click the Add Course button.
  4. Choose the Courses and options you want for the group.
  5. Click the Add button.
  6. Click the Update button at the bottom of the page.
